Buster as a Young Adult

In the mid 60s, I funded college expenses by working at Six Flags over Texas and was featured in the live performance of the Confederate Drill Squad.

I have fond memories of the time I served as Commander of the Sam Houston Rifles, better know as the "Jodies," while attending the University of Texas at Arlington.

After graduation, both, my father and grandfather, stood beside me the day I was commissioned as a Second Lt. into the US Army. Harry Palmer, Hayden Buster, and Holman Palmer

My actual tour of duty was quite different than I expected.  I believe the military atmosphere was tainted by the unpopular Vietnam War.
If you only do one thing "right" your entire life, it should be "marry the right person," and that's what I did the day I married Paulette.
